April 2021: “The Box” and “500 Miles to Babylon”

April is a month of promise- but it is so much more! The first Earth Day was in April 1970. Warnings of environmental crises to come were given- and ignored by too many unto the present day.
April is filled with hope and trepidation- the American Revolution began in April.
April is filled with death- and life. Many celebrations of death and new birth are celebrated in April.

This month, our challenges offer an opportunity to write about hope, fear, death, life, the known and the unknown!

The first is: “You find an ancient box that is locked. Breaking it open, what do you find in the box?”
and 500 Miles To Babylon. Babylon has meant so many things to so many people… lots of potential stories and poems in this one!
