A Brief History

A Brief History

This history is taken from an obscure journal few have seen. The journal, discovered in parts between 1969 and 1972, was written as a “message in a bottle” by a member of the Fliit Ridan who was seeking others of the Da’Mo’ś.  As it turned out, in time, according to the journal, others of the Fliit Ridan began to find each other. The journal, Ko’ Alescere,  is now held in safe hands.

At one time, before the Choosing, the Fliit Ridan was governed by members of the Universal Accordance, drawn originally from Ehś Sii-drah Sihgmaak`. These members had a strong connection to each Homeworld and were honored amongst all for their fidelity to the Law. However, as near as we can find, the Sii-drah Sihgmaak` no longer exists, or at least not in its original form.

Long, long ago, in a place far from Ga’-Yuh (Terra/Earth) and a time when Ga’-Yah was yet to see the birth of humans or the rise of civilizations, others existed on worlds upon worlds throughout the universe. And these beings, diverse in shape and history and culture, having discovered they were not alone in their Universe, recognized the necessity to be One with the First Voice and with each other. This led to the establishment of the Sii-drah Sihgmaak`, or Sii-dran Alliance, which in turn led to the Universal Accordance and the creation of the Fliit Ridan.

The Fliit Ridan was a select group, chosen from amongst the Companions, living and working together, learning about each other and sharing knowledge of their cultures. Their task was to explore, study, catalog and understand the known universe and to attempt the boundaries of the unknown edges of the universe. This exploration and study occurred on both the physical and psychic levels. The Fliit Ridan, “riders, or masters, of the levels”, moved both upon the physical worlds and through the Sahrtũm, or “Gateways” to many dimensions and times.

The Fliit Ridan rode the Levels for many ages, until such time as a great convocation was called to examine how best to serve the Accordance. It was decided that it was not enough to contact and explore a world; that to impart knowledge and bring awareness was a thing of ages, as the change to a species demanded change must come from within, a fundamental change in the entire being, not from without. And thus it was decided that the Fliit Ridan, born from the Thi’lahko’ś, Companions of the heart and mind, would begin a new path and volunteers would step forth and sacrifice the stars for the best good of All, leaving friends and family, memories and the Gateways behind, remembering only the task.

Thus the time came, the decision was made to attempt a Choosing; that those of the Fliit Ridan would Become on new worlds, and live upon those worlds for the time of this Ka’-kraś, or Wheel and bring knowledge of the Accordance to new worlds, to those new peoples just beginning to ask “why?”, “who?”, and “what?”. During the early ages of the Becoming, many were lost and the tales and songs of these losses are still remembered in the minds of those who survived. (Some of the tales are preserved in the Journal. It is this Journal that inspired the story The Loom of Legends: Being Stories Woven on the Loom of Time.)

For those who survived the Becoming, the way was hard, for they knew they would return again and again upon these worlds until such time as the beings upon each world chose for the Light or the Dark. As time passed, some succumbed to the ways of the worlds and were lost upon the Sea of Dark; others were broken in their minds; still others were unable to escape their memories and the struggle to live with the memories while having lost the Gateways brought hardship that had to be overcome and the mind’s memories silenced or endured;  and some forced the memories deeper than deep and are only now beginning to Awaken again. They will be sought out, they will be given words and hopefully, they will remember in this life or another and once again they will strive. The scattered members of the Fliit Ridan, now called Ihlsaakahr , or Seekers, will find their own, mark them, bring them together.

This world, Ga’-Yah, is part of the history of the Fliit Ridan. Upon many continents evidence of their existence can be found in the languages, dress, and customs of the people, for the Ihlsaakahr spread to many places, moving amongst the people, teaching, learning…..In the ancient lands of what is now the African continent,  Makedon, the Greek city-states, Scotland, parts of the Middle East and Asia, traces of the beliefs, language and Disciplines of the Ihlsaakahr are found.

Amongst many tribal peoples, possible tales of the wanderers from the stars can be found, in the names of the ancient gods and goddess, names that speak of sky gods and goddesss, the deities of the stars and time, such as  Mehhit, Mehet-Weret , Xamaba, Hadad and Atargatis, Hepit, Beelshamen and An, Latobius, Aether and Hera, Sabazious,  Stribog (also Dažboh, Aditi and Dyaus Pita (Dei-patrous),  Ataksak, Citalicue, Atahensic (Eagentci), Bhagos,in the legends of the Primordial Tōnacātēcuhtli and Tōnacācihuātl, and Chimalma, among many.

In many lands tales of the People of the Stars are still found, remnants of a primal memory when members of the Fliit Ridan first came to the world and built hidden cities, established great trade routes and moved out into the world of men. In Samothrace, Lemnos, Crete, Ikaria, Attica, North Africa, Cappadocia, in the cities of Smyrna, Cymes, Myrine, Ulm and Paphos, in Thera, Samos, Lesbos, and Anatolia, the legends remain of the “warriors of the moon”. In arid lands, legends of the “Sons of the God” can be found throughout the myths of many cultures, a remembering when the children of the stars found the earth fair… and made a Choosing to Become.

Remnants of the Ihlsaakahr remain still,  though their losses have been great- they know their own, for they are marked in the depths of their eyes and in their heart. The blood of both people, Ga’-Yahn and Ihlsaakahr, flows in their veins, and these will be sought out and  touched with memory and longing. Should they remember, they will find Sanctuary if it is desired. The original task must be completed.

The lost remnants of the Fliit Ridan, the Ihlsaakahr, are gathering, finding each other, re-learning that which they came to teach. After so many centuries, it is good to be among Companions again, it is good to Belong!

This, then, is a brief history of the Ihlsaakahr as set forth in the Journal, Ko’ Alescere. Though many segments of the Journal are now missing, lost to time, weather, mold, insects and mice, the surviving portion contains pieces of the philosophical thought and ancient history of the Rahś, or Clans, and the members of the Fliit Ridan. It is a glimpse into another world, the world of those who Chose for Earth.

We invite you to ask questions, to seek answers. We are, after all, each Ihlsaakahr of a sort.

The Disciplines, standards and value/ethics systems of the Fliit Ridan are still strongly pursued. Continuous self-discipline, on-going education and informal discussions are used to transmit the knowledge and concepts of the Ihlsaakahr. Continuous self-improvement, tolerance, compassion and a one-world-view are held in high regard by the Companions. Rigorous testing of applicants or those who wish to join is conducted to ensure the standards of the Fliit Ridan are not corrupted.

Other attributes valued by the members of the Ihlsaakahr  are self-reliance, a strong awareness of community, courage, honor, honesty and integrity, loyalty and more. These standards are all demanded by the strict guidelines of the Disciplines as set forth in the ancient Accordance. You who would stand with the Ihlsaakahr must prove yourselves worthy.
