March 2021: “When The Winds Blow Warm” and/or “Riding the Fence”
March brings two new titles that can spur the imagination. Try looking at the words a new way, or think about what March represents! The Romans named this time of year after their god of war, Mars, as this was when military campaigns were re-started after a winter hiatus, but the Saxons called it Rhed-monat after their goddess Rhedam, or Hreth. March is also a celebration of women, a time when animals begin to awaken from hibernation and daffodils begin to herald the coming of spring!
Our titles for inspiration and challenge this month are “When the Winds Blow Warm” and “Riding the Fence”. These two titles are filled with possibilities, so once again- challenge yourself to rise to the occasion and write! Deadline for March submissions is March 28.
