Writer’s Challenge

Every month (sometimes twice a month), I will post a word, a sentence, a phrase, or a question here, drawn from the Writer’s Box (and if you have a word or phrase you’d like to be part of this, just send it in to be placed in the box!). Members are invited to write a poem, song, or short story, no longer than two pages (based on either letter or A4 size, size 11 Arial font, no spacing, submitted to my email for edit-check. You can also post on our FB page and I can capture from there.

Your creation will then be posted to the website, so be sure to include, at the bottom of your submission, how you want your work credited: your name (pen or otherwise), date it was written (for copyright purposes for you) and if desired, a brief explanation of what inspired your work.

The objective is not to write a Great Novel; it is to inspire a story or poem. Don’t over-judge your work; the objective is to encourage our writing, without stressing over perfection!
