The Companions

 The Companions are an elite group selected from the Companions for the Fliit Ridan from all worlds. To apply to the Fliit Ridan, an applicant must have achieved the Empiirro’ś level of the I’Lah, or Disciplines. Upon achieving the Empiiirro’ś level, a choice can be made to enter the Fliit Ridan for exploration and discovery, continue studies to become a Bahnaht on any of the Homeworlds, enter the Thi’lahlo’ś and go into the Fliit Ridan or remain on a Homeworld as protectors, or enter the Fliit Ridan and choose to Become.  Upon entry into the Companions, a special ceremony takes place to welcome the member into the Companions, participate on Vows to remind them of the responsibilities of their office, their duties and to their fellow Companions, as well as to their Homeworlds and to all in the Accordance. These Companions are Vow-bonded to each other; to act in a shameful or dishonorable manner is to bring shame on all, so much care is taken to ensure that each upholds the other to the highest standards.
