Though events unfold that may force us to part,
You are with me forever, safe in my heart.
Your smile and your eyes (ah! that sparkling hue!),
Remain in my memory, whispering of you.

Though my duties may call me far from your side,
It’s gently, so gently in my soul you reside.
Your touch and your voice (how it sings in my ear)
Remain in my memory, holding you near.

Though eons pass swiftly, stars swirling by,
It’s backward to Terra in the end I will fly;
Your soul in its beauty, bidding me come,
Remains in my memory , leading me home.
